Young up and coming athletics starlet Oluranti Anderson has shattered her own world short put record with a throw of 9.76m in the U-10 category.
Competing Saturday at the Athletics School Games held at Yaba College of Technology sports complex, Oluranti Anderson bettered her previous throw of 8.8m, which she achieved at the World Schools Games in Dubai last year.
Oluranti Anderson a student of Grange School Lagos noted that it is her goal to improve with every competition and her ultimate aim is to be a world in the future.
Her coach former athlete Alex Udjor said the young lady has vast potentials in the throws.
“She is one kid that has huge potentials and we really need to help her reach the world level in the next couple of years,” Udjoh said.
