Senator Shehu Sani has disappointed his former colleague in Senate Ben Murray Bruce after he turned down an invitation to be a judge in Friday’s Miss World Nigeria contest.
Mr. Sanni explained in a reply to the invitation to the event billed for the Federal Palace Hotel, Lagos said his wives won’t be happy with him setting and judging who is the most beautiful amongst strangers he has never met.
“My wives will not be happy if I serve as a Judge,” Sani wrote on X social media platform Thursday.
“I have not been able to pass judgment on the most beautiful between my wives let alone those I don’t know.
“I don’t have the knowledge or experience in such events.
“This is the Sallah period when we spend time with family members and friends. Thank you for the honour and wish them well,” Sani said.
Shehu Sanni however, sent his apologies to his pal whom had a bond with during their days in the 8th National Assembly.
