Young up an coming music artist, Jubril Adewumi a.k.a Africana, is all set to drop his debut effort “Fuji Sound.”
For Africana, it’s a mixture of folklore and modern beats which he call Afro fusion and with that, his aim is to reach a cut-across audience all around the world of music.
“Fuji Sound” is a collection of songs including “Mama,” “Fuji Sound,” “Faraway” and “Omo Pastor” which Africana rendered in a soulful and smooth voice and well coordinated beats. A clip of “Mama” is on Instagram and according to Africana, final touches are being made for the release of the EP.
Speaking of his aspirations, Africana said: “I want to take my music to a global platform, inspiring and entertaining diverse audiences while continuously evolving my craft.”
He added that his major influence in creating music was his love for the environment.
“My major source of inspiration to sing and to write songs is the environment and I will continue to get inspired, develop my skills and grow to became a respected artist in the Nigerian and world music scene.”
He stated that there is not much difference between his Afro fusion and Afrobeats, which is currently making waves around the globe with Nigerian artists making mega bucks. “It’s almost the same thing we are doing.”
