Friday night’s celebrity boxing match between Habeeb Okikiola a.k.a Portable and Darlington Okoye a.k.a Speed Darlington did not go the four-round distance.
The fight which took place at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Lagos, live up to the hype and fans were expecting to have a long night of fun, but Portable did a Mike Tyson on Speed Darlington who came into the arena with coffin with which he promised to ship Portable back to the great beyond. But he ended up almost being the causality as he suffered a broken arm in the first round and had to be rushed to the hospital.
Speaking later after he regain his voice he said: “Nigerians, please believe me, Portable used juju in our boxing match last night to win me. Everything that happened seemed magical… When he was sl@pping me, I wasn’t feeling a hand.. it felt like someone was using an iroko tree to slap my face.
“My eyes could not even see him, and everywhere was just dark. The next thing I realized, my eyes got white, and he had already won. That boy almost used juju to kpai me in the name of b0xing match. Somebody sent am for me.”
