Afrobeats star David Adeleke a.k.a Davido said he might be venturing into the Nigeria film industry any time soon.
The Grammy-nominated singer stated that it has always been his desire to be engage in Nollywood.
“I studied business marketing, so I would have still been in the entertainment space [if I wasn’t singing] but probably, more of behind the scenes.
“I can also act. I can act for real.” He therefore served up his acting CV, saying, “I act in my music videos. I acted in music videos like ‘Jowo’, ‘Nwa Baby’, ” said Davido while speaking to content creator Darryl.
“I am investing in a couple of films this year. Shoutout to my director, Dammy Twitch. We have some ideas, series coming.”
Davido also offered his assessment of the filmmaking space in Africa, saying, “The film space right now in Africa is going bankrupt. So, we are definitely going to tap into that.”
