Children of legendary ‘juju’ musician Sunday Adeniyi Adegeye a.k.a King Sunny Ade don’t seem to agree on how best to manage the affairs of their 78 years dad who is reported not to be in a good health condition.
The children from different mothers have made claims and counter claim over the safety, health and whereabouts of their famous father.
KSA’s daughter Damilola Esther Adegeye posted on Instagram that their father has been kidnapped and held hostage by her stepbrother Dayo who doubles as KSA’s manager who also had booked him for events without fulfilling those commitments.
“Yes, he’s kidnapped because he’s out of the house, not able to come home,” Damilola told Premium Times.
“He has already told his firstborn that he wants to go home, but the manager, Dayo, his mom, his two brothers, and his third brother are now there. They have been keeping him in hotels and know where he is. And whenever anyone in that house asks for his details or whereabouts, they don’t tell them.
“The manager didn’t tell me. They told no one. So imagine if they had done something else to him, how would I know? It was from the firstborn that I found out. And I also found out from one of my uncles that he’s on medication.”
However, Emperor Adegeye a son of the KSA denied the allegations.
“People have been calling me since yesterday. It is not true; that’s the final word. Thanks for the call. Sir, like I said, it’s fake news.
“We want to assure the public that King Sunny Ade is safe and sound,” Adegeye emphasized.
“There is no truth to the kidnapping rumor, and we are taking appropriate steps to address the situation and identify those responsible for spreading this false information.
“The public can be rest assured that King Sunny Ade is in good health and spirits, and his focus remains on his music and legacy.”
