Afrobeats super star Damini Ogulu a.k.a Burna Boy shocked fans when he asked a DJ to skip Davido’s “Kante” at the Met Gala Monday night at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, USA.
A video circulating online shows Burna Boy telling the female DJ to skip Davido’s song featuring Fave. But the DJ went ahead to play the song after she dished a number by Burna Boy. Other African stars who graced the occasion include Tems, Ayra Starr and Tyla.
Burna Boy on many occasions had thrown barbs at Davido, but the “Timeless” singer had always maintained his cool, prefering to let his music do the talking.
Meanwhile singer and songwriter Oniyide Azeez a.k.a Zinoleesky said he would pick Davido ahead of Burna Boy and Wizkid in his rating of Afrobeats singers.
Zinoleesky made this disclosure during a live session with popular streamer Peller on the video sharing platform, TikTok.
