Chelsea are finally convinced they need to get Victor Osimhen after Nicholas Jackson failed to deliver in last Sunday’s Premier League clash against Newcastle.
Jackson picked up a needless red card, which fans believe led to their 2-0 loss and he would miss Chelsea’s last two games, which the Blues must win to get into the Champions League.
Miff by this malady with Jackson, Chelsea have renewed their chase of Osimhen and according to reports they are set to hold talks with the player’s representatives this week with a view of hammering out a deal.
Osimhen is open to joining Chelsea, but his wage demand of €12m-a-year, remains a sticky point. Chelsea are looking for a way out of the situation.
Osimhen centre-forward has scored 33 goals in 38 games during a season-long loan at Galatasaray. He is also said to be on the radar of Juventus, but it is doubtful if Napoli his parent club would want to deal with a rival in Serie A.
