Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Lagos Zonal Directorate 1 agents Monday arrested 120 suspected internet fraudsters, including 95 males and 25 females, from different locations in Lagos.
According to the EFCC head of media and publicity, Dele Oyewale the suspects were picked up based on credible intelligence and weeks of surveillance on their alleged cybercrime activities.
“The suspects were arrested on Monday, May 19, 2025, following credible intelligence and thorough surveillance regarding their alleged involvement in internet-related fraud.”
Items recovered include 26 luxury vehicles, high-end jewelry, smartphones, laptops, and incriminating documents.
The suspects are under investigation and will face court proceedings once the probe is complete, Oyewale added.
