Timileyin Ajayi...waiting for judgement day

Gospel singer Timileyi Ajayi who has been standing trial for the murder of National Youth Service Corps member Miss Salome Adaidu, will know his fate on June 26, 2025.
Presiding judge of the Nasarawa State High Court sitting in Lafia Justice Simon Aboki said in a ruling Tuesday that judgement will be passed on the said date. This was after the prosecuting counsel and counsel to the defendant made their final submissions.
Counsel to Timileyin Ajayi, Joseph Tuku Bisson in his written address urged the Court to dismiss the case against his client since the prosecution failed to convince the court he murdered Miss Adaidu.
The prosecution counsel Joseph Kigbu urged the court the disregard Mr. Bisson’s prayer and convict the suspect accordingly since all evidence points to the fact he committed the crime.
Timileyin Ajayi was arrested on the February 12, 2025 by police personnel in Karshi, Karu local government area of Nasarawa State, for allegedly killing and dismembering the 24-year-old Adaidu. He was caught with Adaidu’s severed head by vigilant Church goers and was promptly arrest for the crime that shocked the nation.
