Federation of International Football Association (FIFA) has acknowledged Remo Stars Football Club’s success by officially congratulating them on winning their first Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title.

Before clinching the title, the Sky Blue Stars got a nervous 1-0 win on matchday 35. They sealed their championship with a solid 4-1 win against Ikorodu City on matchday 37.

Mr Infantino expressed his happiness in a letter to the new titleholders, Remo Stars FC. The team’s hard work and accomplishments all season led to their winning the crucial title.

Mr Infantino expressed gratitude for the NFF’s efforts and said, “I want to thank you and your Federation for all your support, work and dedication in helping Nigerian football grow and I am looking forward to seeing you again soon.”

Becoming NPFL Champions took Remo Stars years of consistent progress. After coming second in the last two seasons, the team finally achieved the highest position in Nigerian football. The victory over Ikorodu City was the highlight of their season, with the team being named champions in front of their happy supporters.

Aside from the silverware, their success demonstrates that they have a long-term vision and invest in young talent.

Since they won the NPFL, Remo Stars will take part in the 2024/25 CAF Champions League. They have reached a continental competition three times previously, but this season, they’re the first to do so as champions of their country.

With the whole world following them and FIFA’s support, Remo Stars plan to reproduce their achievements on the continental stage.

Over the years, from almost reaching the final to finally winning, Remo Stars have impressed the football world with their new journey.
