Peter Okoye, the Nigerian singer better known as Mr P, has said that he and his twin brother Paul or Rudeboy, attempted to settle their differences but couldn’t make it work.

In a recent Cool FM interview, Lagos, Mr P shared that doing music by himself is very joyful.
He asked fans to honor their opinions, since trying to stay together wasn’t possible for them at the time.
Being on your own can be a lot of fun. Please respect what we decide. Trying it didn’t work out,” he said.
In August last year, Paul confirmed that P-Square had split up for the second time. They initially went their separate ways in 2016 but joined up again in 2021.
This follows the singer testifying in a high-profile Federal High Court case in Lagos involving his older brother and former manager, Jude Okoye, who is accused of money laundering and is said to have stolen funds from their music group P-Square.
Jude Okoye and his company, Northside Music Limited, are facing seven money laundering charges before the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, for a total sum of ₦1.38 billion, $1 million and £34,537.
They broke up in 2016, got back together for a short period in 2021 and this time their breakup was confirmed as permanent by Paul in August 2024.
