A 25-years-old woman identified as Rabi’a Labaran has been arrested by the police for allegedly stabbing her co-wife to death following an argument.
The gory incident which riled up Neighbours happened near Dadi Primary School in the Sabon Gari area of Daura, Katsina State.
According to Katsina police spokesperson Abubakar Sadiq both women engaged themselves in heated argument which escalated into a fight on May 24, 2025. The husband Nasir Yusuf who was not at home at the time of the altercation came back home to find his first wife identified as Zainab lying dead in a pool of her own blood, with several stab wounds.
Officers responded quickly, and the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) led a team to the scene, and Zainab was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre in Daura, but doctors confirmed she was already dead.
Rabi’a Labaran admitted to stabbing her co-wife, explaining that a disagreement between them led to a fight which ended fatally.
