Nigeria’s Super Eagles survived a spirited fight back by Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz in the final of the 2025 Unity Cup decided at Gtech Community Stadium West London.
The Super Eagles surrendered a 2-0 goal lead for the Jamaicans coached by Steve McLaren to drag the game into a shootout out.

Moses Simon who captained the team had scored the opening goal from a Cyriel Dessers assist, while Samuel Chukwueze added the second with a brilliant solo goal.
But Reggae Boyz stood up and fought back with Kaheim Dixon and Jonathan Russell tidying up things.

In the shootout the Super Eagles made no mistake from the spot. Jamaica’s Dwayne Atkinson smashed his effort over the bar, and Christanus Uche making his debut for the Super Eagles finished off calmly to hand Nigeria a second win of the Unity Cup. They won it the first time in 2004.
In the other game the Black Stars of Ghana thrashed Trinidad & Tobago 4-0 to claim third place
