Nigerian singer, Terry G has a caused stir after he claimed to have spurred other Nigerian artist to publicly smoke cannabis.
He posted on his X social that his own personal sacrifice and boldness was what made it easier for modern day musicians to make open use of cannabis in their music videos.
He posted: “No hard feelings, it’s all love, but no forget say if no be my sacrifice, none of your fav go get liver to smoke Igbo for screen.”
However, his assertion sent mixed feelings among fans and critics alike who reason that iconic Afrobeat pioneer Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, long before Terry G ever emerged on the scene, was publicly known to smoke onstage and screen marijuana.
