Beyonce...bounces back after near mishap

World music icon Beyoncé Knowles-Carter will not attempt the “flying car” stunt or sing “16 Carriages” in her current “Cowboy Carter” tour, after a technical hitch almost marred the show Saturday night in Houston.
While descending on an open roof car the strings malfunctioned leaving the classic vehicle tilted to one side midair and Beyoncé held on tightly to the strings suspending the car as her fans watched in awe, but she made it safely down on the stage in her hometown of Houston at NRG Stadium.
But on the second night of June 29 at 7:52 p.m. local time the multiple Grammy Award winner cut her hit single “16 Carriages” from the set and avoided flying in the air in a car.
Fans wondered if she might perform the stunt again. One fan wrote, “The flying car better behave,” another said, “she won’t fly tonight.” While some fans expressed disappointment for the change, many emphasized the importance of it. One fan noted, “Safety first that’s what matters first and foremost.”
The nine-city tour will span the U.S. and Europe with the grand finale taking place in Las Vegas on July 26.
