The Chioma Ajunwa Foundation in partnership with the Lilly Legend Sports Academy have organised a talent hunt programme at the Umuchu Mini Stadium in Aguata, Anambra State.
The event which was held on Saturday July 12, 2025 also featured keep fit programme for women with former Olympics long champion at Atlanta 1996, Chioma Ajunwa personally taking up the ladies in the training.
“First of all we are grateful to the Aguata local government chairman Mr Chibueze Ofobuike for his support and also building this mini stadium for sports… if all other chairmen will follow his example.
“The talent hunt was a huge success and also the morning exercise for the Community was fantastic.”
She added that many young promising young and passionate players were discovered at the occasion.
Also commenting on the outcome of the programme Amarachi Lilian Ezeabasili proprietor of Lilly Legend Sports Academy said the she was excited with the number of young girls who participated.
“It is our pleasure to see these girls turn out in numbers. From this group we are going to have future players that will represent the country.
“We glad that sports offers them an opportunity to do something better with their lives.”
