Aguta local government area of Anambra State chairman Chibueze Ofobuike has expressed satisfaction with the number of youth talents discovered at the Chioma Ajunwa Foundation and Lily Legend Sports Academy talent hunt.
The programme was sponsored by the Mr. Ofobuike who has a strong desire to take kids off the streets and give them a good life through sports and education. A good number of male and female soccer talents were penciled down after the event last weekend at the Umuchu mini stadium in Aguta, which was built by Ofobuike to demonstrate his commitment to youth sports development.
He promised that the exercise will be an annual event as there are many more youths in Anambra waiting to show their talents.
“I’m very happy with the turnout and the way the programme was organised,” said Ofobuike.
“In the near future these are the ones you will be seeing playing in some of the Nigerian club sides and even outside the country.”
He added that he would gladly provide for their feeding, accommodation and their playing boots and transportation when they join the Lilly Legend Academy in Lagos to acquire more skill.
