Nigeria Immigration officials Thursday kept Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan for over an hour on her way to catch a flight from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.
The Senator representing Kogi Central was in the company of her husband when she was detained. They were said to be on their way to the UK attend the graduation ceremony of her stepson.
Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan was told that she was on a watch list by the Immigration officials.
“Yes it is true that the Senator was blocked briefly from traveling,” a source told Daily Trust.
Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan on Tuesday made a return to the National Assembly from where she was slammed with a six-month suspension following her allegations of sexual harrasment by Senate president Godswill Akpabio. She was prevented from entering the complex.
