Attacking midfielder Ademola Lookman worried by the slow pace of talks between his club Atalanta and Inter Milan has offered to take a pay cut to help his transfer to Milan.
Atalanta are unbending in their €50 million demand for Lookman who they feel is still valuable to them. Inter have increased their bid to €45 million, but Atalanta are hesitant.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, Lookman is eager to join Inter who are also keen to have him as an attacking option.
The 27-year-old has already agreed terms with the Nerazzurri. He’s ready to sign a five-year contract worth around €4.5 million net per season.
However, the Corriere della Sera reports, Lookman has indicated that he would be willing to sign a deal on lower wages if it facilitates a move. This could allow Inter to offer Atalanta a bit more. Inter according to reports have up to July 31 to wrap up the deal.
