Ademola Lookman will not entertain transfer talks with Arsenal insisting on waiting on Inter Milan to finalise talks with his club Atalanta.
According to reports in Italy, Arsenal are ready to table a €52m bid for the attacking midfielder they see as a better option to Eberechi Eze who is going to cost the Gunners €64.3m.
Lookman who has so refused to resume training with Atalanta is not keen on moving to England and he is hoping that Inter will return with a bigger bid after their €45m offer was rejected. The Bergamo side will not go lower than €50m and suggested that they only want a club from outside Italy to sign him.
It has emerged that Nottingham Forest are also interested in the Lookman. Coach Espirito Nunez is eager to replace Anthony Elanga with Lookman who he sees as a more direct player.
Lookman will now be hoping that Inter make the deal happen. He may be faced with the prospect of playing in the Premier League.
Inter coach Cristian Chivu has made Lookman a priority target. He is ready to change the team’s formation to suit the former Leicester City forward.
