Nigerian striker Victor Boniface was left disappointed and furious when AC Milan called off his loan deal, this was after two days of medical test raised concerns about his previous injuries.
Boniface had agreed personal terms with the club and Milan also securing a €30m loan deal with Bayer Leverkusen, but Milan on Sunday pulled out of the deal citing his knee injury and reoccurring muscle problems.
Reacting to the development Boniface who has since returned to Germany lashed out his X social media page.
“I’m at club like Bayer Leverkusen, Milan want me and people say I’m not serious. If I was serious, I’d be playing for club on planet Jupiter”
“If this’s what being unserious looks like then leave me like this. I’ll keep scoring. Clowns everywhere.”
Also, Bayer Leverkusen knocked the Italian side saying Boniface was in good condition. Sporting director Simon Rolfes said: “If Boniface returns to Leverkusen, the deal with Milan’s over. Renegotiation? I don’t think so. His condition has improved compared to before.”
