Super Falcons striker Asisat Oshoala has joined Saudi Women’s Premier League club Al Hilal after one year of stay with American National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) side Bay FC.
Oshoala who played a cameo role in the Super Falcons famous win of the Women African Cup of Nations July in Morocco is cutting her stay with Bay FC after they reached an agreement with the Saudi side.
“Asisat has been an incredibly important part of Bay FC history, not only with her impact on the pitch but also through the energy, professionalism, and kindness she brought every day,” Bay FC sporting director Matt Potter said upon the move being completed.
“She is a world-class player and an even better person, and we are grateful for everything she contributed to our club in its first season. We wish her nothing but success as she takes this next step in her career with Al-Hilal.”
Al Hilal finished sixth in the Saudi Women’s Premier League in the 2024-25 campaign as the competition expanded from eight to 10 teams.
Al Hilal will welcome a player with proven international experience and a history of success across three of the world’s most competitive women’s leagues.
