Three Nigerians specialised in stealing cars in Kumasi, Ghana have been sentenced to 20 years each in prison with hard labour.
According to the Ashanti Regional Police Command the convicted identified as Francis Friday, Linus Agwazie and Russell Ekenze, were arrested on June 20, 2025, and were first arraigned at the Atasemanso Circuit Court.
Ekenze pleaded guilty to the charges and was sentenced to 10 years’ imprisonment in hard labour. Friday and Agwazie, pleaded not guilty.
“All three convicts, Francis Friday, Linus Agwazie and Russell Ekenze, are currently serving their sentences at the Kumasi Central Prison,” said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Godwin Ahianyo, who is the Head of the Public Affairs Unit of the regional command.
