Versatile singer Aituaje Aina Vivian Ebele Iruobe, a.k.a Waje said if she ever makes up her mind to marry it has been a man who is successful and has money.
Waje who is a single mom a girl she had when she was just 16 years old, said she at 45 could not be looking for a man who is still struggling to find his feet.
“I can’t marry a man who is not successful. I am not in my 20s, so we can’t build together. A man leads by selling aspiration to me. I have to aspire to see him lead,” Waje said during a chat on the ‘Honestbunch’ podcast
“I can’t marry someone who is not successful, and here’s why: first of all, I’m not in my 20s so we are not growing together.
“A man leads; he leads by selling aspirations to me. I have to aspire to see him lead. And if he can’t inspire me to grow, we can’t be partners. So, success is part of it. Faith and emotional intelligence are also part of it.”
Speaking on her teenage pregnancy she added: “I was 16. I didn’t tell my mom until about five months. My mom had gone to his family and said, okay, so your son and my daughter… and he was like, no, it’s not him,” she said.
She also disclosed how they both discussed doing a DNA test, but he kept dragging it.
“He agreed, and I waited and waited. Nine months passed, then years, and he still didn’t do it,”
“She turned 18 and you can’t file for a child at 18. I was mad because now she’s in university and I’m paying school fees in dollars. You can’t be calling me to say you want to send $200. We could have avoided all this,” she said.
