Afrobeats star and Grammy Award winner Damini Ogulu a.k.a Burna Boy continues to brag about his collaboration with rock legend Mick Jagger.
Burna Boy in his latest album No Sign of Weakness worked with the 82 years old Rolling Stones frontman on the song “Empty Chairs,” which is a hybrid of Afrobeats and rock music. Burna Boy stated that he wanted his works to last for long time. “No Sign of Weakness”, was released on July 11, 2025.
Speaking on how he linked up with Mick Jagger who has in the past worked with artists like Michael Jackson, David Bowie, Tina Turner, Peter Tosh, Damien Marley and a long list of others, Burna Boy said it supermodel Naomi Campbell who pulled the strings.
“It’s actually crazy because it was initiated by Naomi Campbell, she made it happen. Before I knew it, I was talking to Mick Jagger, and it felt like we’d known each other forever.”
