The November edition of “The Forum by O’jez” will welcome one of Africa’s best-known voices on radio Jacob Akinyemi-Johnson a.k.a JAJ da Mecca Don.
As usual organisers of the event billed for Sunday November 30, 2025, are looking forward to another evening of splendor as they roll out the red carpet to honour JAJ da Mecca Don. The venue remains the O’jez Sports Lounge at the National Stadium Surulere, Lagos.
“It’s another big fish we have in the pond; come Sunday and we are excitedly going to have the King of the air waves JAJ.
“It is going to be another entertaining evening as we grow The Forum by O’jez where we keep reminding Nigerians to celebrate the men and women that have made the Nigeria entertainment industry great,” said Mr. Effiong Nyong a top management executive of the O’Jez entertainment group.
JAJ is one of the pioneering voices in the FM radio broadcast in Nigeria. His journey into broadcasting began when he was just ten years in his primary school days. And in the 1979 he began his professional career with the Nigeria Broadcasting Corporation AM/FM STEREO in Lagos (which later became Radio Nigeria).
It was Nigeria’s first FM radio station and JAJ made it worthwhile for radio listeners in Lagos and beyond. By 1983 he was named Radio Personality of the Year. JAJ is still very active in broadcasting though he now holds an executive position within the Silverbird Group. He is famous for his late evening music countdown show, “Top 7 Jams at 7 with JAJ The Mecca Don”, which airs on Rhythm 93.7 FM.
