On Matchday 5 of the UEFA Champions League, Kylian Mbappé with his four goals against Olympiacos in Real Madrid’s 4-3 win against the Greek side, has established a three-goal lead on the scorers’ chart.
Mbappe has taken his goals tally to nine from five games. Victor Oshimhen who did not see any action when his club Galatasaray lost 1-0 at home to Union SG is second. His goal haul remains six from three games. Osimhen is goal atop Harry Kane of Bayern Munich and Erling Haaland of Manchester City who have five goals apiece.
Mbape scored a hat-trick in seven minutes, which was the second quickest in Champions League history – behind Mohamed Salah. The Frenchman is behind Robert Lewandowski in the list of highest goals after five games. Lewandowski scored 10 goals in five games in the 2019/20 season while playing for Bayern Munich.
