Nigeria’s Super Eagles players have been arriving in Cairo, Egypt ahead of their warm-up game against the Pharaohs on Tuesday.
First to join coach Eric Chelle and his backroom staff who arrived on Saturday were goalkeepers Francis Uzoho and Stanley Nwabali, other invited players are expected Sunday for the warm-up match ahead of the African Cup of Nations starting December 21.
Nwabali who was reported to be a doubt for the tournament brushed off injury concerns and expressed his readiness to man the post if given the nod by coach Chelle.
Meanwhile Victor Osimhen and Moses Simon will not be part of the friendly at the Cairo International Stadium. They will join the team in Morocco on Wednesday.
The match in Cairo will afford newcomers Ebenezer Akinsanmiro, Ryan Alebiosu, Tochukwu Nnadi and Salim Fago Lawal the opportunity to blend with the team.
The Super Eagles are in Group C alongside Tanzania, Tunisia, and Uganda.
