World famous Afrobeats star Burna Boy was delayed by Morocco Customs on his way to perform at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Burna Boy a Grammy Award winner and Ghana’s Stonebwoy were billed to perform at the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Fan Zone concert in Rabat on January 16. Moroccan artistes Stormy and Jaylann also performed at the event.
But upon arrival in Rabat Burna Boy had to explain to no avail why he was carrying a huge jewelry. CAF President Patrice Motsepe has revealed he has to intervene, before the crooner was let off the hook.
“Recently I was called that I need intervene because Burna Boy was stopped at the airport after customs officers noticed his heavy and beautiful gold jewelry. I intervened and it was resolved,” Motsepe said.
