Singer Sarah Aderibigbe a.k.a Ayra Starr has marked her fifth year in the music scene.
Ayra Starr from a humble beginning at Marvin Records in 2021 rose to become a globally recognise Afrobeats music icon. She started out with the self-titled Album “Ayra Starr” and she remained a force to be reckoned with in the genre.
With songs like “Rush,” “Bloody Samaritan,” and “Commas” further expanded her reach, cementing her reputation as one of Nigeria’s most successful female exports of the new generation.
Ayra Starr acknowledged the anniversary with a simple but symbolic Instagram post, sharing photos of herself in a yellow satin outfit and captioning it, “5 years.” The post immediately sparked reactions from fans, fellow artists, and industry players who reflected on how far the singer has come since her debut.
The 13-minute EP featured standout tracks such as “Away,” “Sare,” “Ditr,” “Ija,” and “Damage.” Among them, “Away” emerged as a breakout hit, topping Apple Music and iTunes charts in Nigeria shortly after release.
