Charles Adekunle...the "charlie" busted for drugs by the police.

A Nigerian man identified as Charles Adekunle has been busted for drug trafficking by the Ghana Police after he was arrested along the Accra-Sogakope highway with drugs worth N134.7m in his possession.
Mr. Adekunle, 46, was driving in a black Liberty Jeep on January 21 by 6.30pm, when he was stopped at the Kpotame police checkpoint near Sogakope. His attempted to get off the hook by bribing the policemen on duty with $20,000 was turned down and he was taken into custody, while his vehicle remain impounded at the Volta Region Police headquarters in Ho.
The police recovered 10 parcels of compressed substances suspected to be cocaine and about half a kilogram of compressed dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp hidden behind the vehicle’s inner lining.
According to the Volta Region Police Commander DCOP Wilson Akorli the arrest was based on intelligence reports and a joint task force of police intelligence unit, drug law enforcement unit and traffic police were mobilised to monitor the suspect.
