Super Eagles striker Ademola Lookman said his teaming up with Atletico Madrid is a step towards making improvement on his game.
Lookman signed a four-year deal with the La Liga side on Monday after his football had taken him to clubs across Europe. He noted that Spain presents to him a new challenge and he was looking forward to winning with the Diego Simeone lead side.
“New challenges ahead for me, but I’m very excited about it. I’m looking forward to it. I like to learn. I like to grow and to be better. Coming here is what I’m looking to do,” Lookman said.

He added that he is eager to contribute to the success of the team: “And also, you know, to join a group of amazing guys, amazing footballers, and just to help as much as I can, and to, you know, win, be the best as I can be every single day to learn, to improve, to get better, because I think I can still improve and get better.
“It’s a new challenge for me. So that brings a sense of excitement. So, for me I’m excited to do that. Very, very passionate, very much behind the team.”
Lookman a journeyman sort of had played in the Premier League, Bundesliga, Serie A, and now La Liga.
