Super Falcons top striker Asisat Oshoala, has express delight with her bicycle kick goal against Benfica in Tuesday night’s Women Champions League.
Oshoala came off bench to put the icing on the cake as Barcelona thrashed the Portuguese side 5-0 to start the defence of their UEFA Women’s Champions League title.
“Football is an act enjoy that one,” Oshoala posted on her Instagram page.
Two-time Ballon d’Or Feminin winner Alexia Putellas scored twice before the current award-holder Aitana Bonmati also bagged a brace.
Caroline Graham Hansen assisted three of Barca’s five goals.
She was also heavily involved in the build-up to the opening goal of the game, scored by Putellas with an instinctive header in the 15th minute after Graham Hansen had seen her shot blocked after a fine run.
Putellas then made it 2-0 on 39 minutes with a tap-in from ultra-close range.
It was 3-0 before half-time thanks to a composed finish by Bonmati following more good work by Graham Hansen.
Another Graham Hansen assist helped Bonmati make it 4-0 just six and a half minutes into the second half.
Oshoala then completed the scoring shortly after the hour-mark when she acrobatically met a Graham Hansen cross with her flying right boot.
