Nigeria music diva Temilade Openiyi a.k.a Tems, said rumours linking her with pregnancy for rapper Future were crazy.
Speaking during an interview with Beat 99.9FM Lagos, the Grammy Award winner with the song “Wait for You” stated that at first she thought the rumours were a joke until she received a death threat from a fan.
“When I heard [the rumours] that I was pregnant, I didn’t actually think anybody believed it,” said Tems.
“I didn’t know it was serious until I started getting messages like death threats, like, ‘How dare you? Of all the people in the world, Future, really?’ And I’ve never met him in my life. So it’s crazy.”
Fans of the 39-year-old Future started the rumours saying that Tems maybe pregnant with his ninth child. Tems herself fueled the rumours when she appeared at the Summer 2024 fashion show she attended in London a couple of weeks ago dressed up like she is hiding a baby bump.
Tems took to her X page to address the rumours: “In conclusion, you people are all mad!!!,”
“Lmao bruh what the hell is going on in this place.”
Meanwhile she disclosed that she was artistically attracted to Afrobeats singer Asake and would like to work with him.
She said: “I love him. I can tell that he is very artistic.”
