Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp is banking on Anfield faithfuls to turn up in numbers and cheer his team to victory over Arsenal.
The top of the table clash on Saturday, is viewed as the biggest game of the season, as it could be crucial for who wins the Premier League title.
Liverpool fresh from their 5-1 over West Ham in the League Cup Wednesday are looking to continue in their winning ways as they aim to win the league since they won in 2020.
Arsenal also in top form are well rested for the challenge, they need to win to consolidate their lead on league table.
“We need Anfield on Saturday,” said Klopp.
“Arsenal didn’t play this week. They’ve prepared for this game and anyone who knows anything about them knows they will be prepared. So we need Anfield on their toes from the first second, without me having an argument with the opposition coach.”
The Reds have finished as runners-up on two occasions during Klopp’s tenure in 2019 and 2022 and will be keen to get themselves in the driving seat for the second half of the season.
Similarly, Arsenal have experience of missing out on the title as runners-up and will hope that the added quality of Declan Rice and Kai Havertz can help aid the team’s efforts to lift a first title in 20 years.
Liverpool have an incredible record at Anfield – losing just one of their last 46 home games and they will hope to build on that phenomenal run in this game against Arsenal.
