Under fire Humanitarian Affairs Minister, Betta Edu claimed that there was no wrong doing in transfer of N585m funds to a private bank account.
Ms. Edu currently under suspension by President Bola Tinubu from her position appeared before the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to say all she knows about the scandal that has engulfed her portfolio barely under a year of her appointment.
In a statement posted on her Facebook page she insisted that she would be vindicated at the end of the investigations
“Dear Npower Beneficiaries, I want to assure you all to remain calm and steadfast amidst the recent accusations and suspension I am facing. My heart and hands are clean, and I am committed to fighting corruption,” Ms Edu said.
She added, “It’s essential to be aware that some individuals with impure intentions may use government machinery against you. Stay strong, and together, we will navigate through these challenges.”
