Nigeria music diva Yemi Alade has put a bet on the Super Eagles to get a good result from their second group A match of the African Cup of Nations against hosts Cote d’Ivoire.
The Super Eagles, despite dominating Equatorial Guinea in their opener Sunday, failed to find the goals that would separate them from Guineans. The Super Eagles must now avoid a defeat against the Cote d’Ivoire Elephants or they would be walking a tightrope in their last group match against Guinea Bissau.
Yemi Alade who contributed her voice to the theme song of the tournament stated on her X handle:“The boys will bounce back.”
Right back Bright Osayi-Samuel who got seven minutes of the game against Equatorial Guinea agreed that the Super Eagles can surprise the Ivoriens who ran away with a 2-0 win over Guinea Bissau.
“We have a game in the next four days and I believe in everyone in this team and I think the next game will be a reaction. I believe that with the squad that we have the game against Ivory Coast we will do our best, when we play against those big teams that’s when we do better we know what it takes and everyone is confident,” Osayi-Samuel said.
