Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) and Modzero media have struck a deal to produce and live stream matches of the newly introduced NPFL Youth League will be streamed live.
The zonal qualifiers of the youth league will begin from February 1.
NPFL Youth League Committee Chairman, Pastor Emeka Inyama, speaking on the broadcast arrangement said: “This will obviously add value to youth games across the country and for the young players, it will build their profile with digital footprints online.”
Based on the arrangement, Modzero Media would be producing the matches for live broadcast on YouTube, while the links would be made available ahead of the games starting February 1.
There will be live games from three centres and game highlights would be made available from two other centres.
Reacting to the development, the NPFL chairman Hon Gbenga Elegbeleye expressed appreciation to Modzero Media for the partnership, assuring that the League Board and Management would work with them to make the event a huge success.
Modzero Media representative, Victor Modo said the company found it worthwhile to identify with a project that promotes youth competition which holds the key to the future of football in the country.
According to the programme of events announced by the organisers, teams representing the 20 NPFL clubs would be arriving in their zones from January 30.
