Afrobeats star David Adeleke, a.k.a Davido, has denied that he was put under arrest while on tour of Uganda and Kenya on April 1, 2024.
Davido said there was no such thing blaming some section of the media for spreading an unfounded rumour. Writing on his X page Tuesday the ‘Unavailable’ crooner added that he has never been arrested for any crime all his life.
“I find the fabrication of allegations of such international crimes extremely irresponsible regardless of the light of ‘April Fools.
“My lawyer is seeking legal recourse against the media parties responsible for generating this misinformation,”Davido stated.
While in Uganda Davido inaugurated the Faculty of Music and Arts at the International University of East Africa (IUEA) in Kampala, Uganda, on 28 March.
The singer disclosed the initiative in videos and pictures shared on his Instagram account. The project is part of his vision to nurture creative talent while fostering innovation in music, entertainment and new media. The inauguration ceremony was attended by various stakeholders, including university officials, students and fans.
