It has finally been confirmed actor Pope Odonwodo a.k.a Junior Pope, is no more after a fatal boat incident involving three other colleagues.
Junior saw it coming perhaps, but couldn’t evade the cold hands of death, much as he tried to stay alive, he eventually succumb to death.
No thanks to a developmental retarded country and educationally disadvantaged folks, who are now accustomed to death harvesting people so cheaply on a daily basis.
“The risk we take to entertain you; crossing River 9ja yesterday with no life jacket…. Na wahooooo Who does that ??” These where some of the last words of Junior Pope.
He didn’t make it to the other side where they where shooting the movie “The Other Side of Life” directed by Adanma Luke.
No safety measures taken for granted even in a waist deep water life jacket is required when traveling on a boat. Even when the accident occured, rescue and medical help were uncoordinated by ill equipped hospitals with nonchalant medics. Worst of all ignorant locals who dragged Junior Pope’s body from point to point.
Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), national president Emeka Rollas, who had tweeted “he is alive, he is alive” was later to choke in grief to learn Junior Pope finally passed on.
“It’s so so sad that our joy was shortlived.
“Two notable hospitals tried their best to revive him but to no avail. God knows the best. We finally lost him.
“Mr Friday corpse has been identified but three other corpses are yet to be found,” Mr. Rollas posted Thursday on his Facebook page.
In an act of rage he suspended filmmaker Adanma Luke and halted all movie shoots locations involving water scenes.
According to reports Junior Pope’s vital signs gave a ray of hope when he was rescued, but rather than being rushed to hospital, rescuers took him to the morgue and the mortician hinted that there was still a chance he could live.
But Junior Pope was allegedly taken to a shrine where the locals believe some rituals had to be performed.
Time wasted. More time wasted when two different hospital he was rushed failed to revive him. He finally gave up the ghost in an unforgiving country, where people must not fall sick or get into police trouble.
