Sports Minister, John Enoh has disclosed that the Super Eagles will get a new coach with the next two weeks.
Mr. Eno who was speaking during a Channels TV interview stated that team and Nigerian fans has had enough, waiting to know who is the next Super Eagles coach after Jose Peseiro and the Nigeria Football federation failed to agree on new contract terms.
“The first responsibility of getting a coach lies with the NFF and I have been in touch with the NFF,” said Mr Enoh.
” Nigerians didn’t expect that after the AFCON and the contract with coach Peseiro wasn’t renewed, that it will take as long and not have a coach yet.
“But NFF is conscious and mindful that our next qualifiers in June, what I can assure is that in the next one or two weeks at the most, the senior national team will have a new coach.”
It was gathered that the NFF has short listed three coaches Emmanuel Amuneke, Domenec Torrent and Antonio Conceicao for the job and the technical committee is expected to come up with a recommendation.
