This is coming on the heels of his poor run of results with the Super Eagles in the World Cup qualifiers.

The NFF on Wednesday said after an executive committee meeting in Abuja, they will hire a foreign technical adviser to do some damage control.
“It’s true I have resigned as Super Eagles coach,” said Finidi when asked to confirm tweets announcing the resignation.
Finidi drew the ire of Nigeria football enthusiasts after forcing South Africa’s Bafana Bafana to a drew in Uyo and then losing 2-1 to Benin Republic’s Cheetahs in Cote D’Ivoire. The Super Eagles had drew their previous games with Lesotho and Zimbabwe.
