Veteran music producer and label owner, Nelson Brown has decried the uploading of several of his works on music streaming platforms without his knowledge.
To this end Nelson Brown who held sway in the 1990s and 2000s as a sort after beats maker, has joined up with the Musical Copyright Society Nigeria Ltd.Gte (MCSN), to give him cover from pirates online and offline.
“When you go to Youtube most especially, you see many of the productions on it,” said Mr. Brown
“I don’t know how the works got to the net; I wonder who gave them the permission for that.
“It is my main motivating factor for joining the MCSN.”
He was welcomed with open arms by MCSN chairman of the board Orits Williki and its Chief Executive Officer, Mayo Ayilaran who assured the Delta-born ace beats maker of protection, including litigation.
Brown was famous for his work with Daddy Showkey, Daddy Fresh, Baba Fryo, late Sound Sultan, African China, Tuface and the Plantation Boys.
