Title chasing Arsenal are reported to have renewed their interest in signing Victor Osimhen from Napoli.
Italian sports daily Corriere Dello Sport reported Wednesday that the Gunners are hoping to complete the deal before the transfer window closes on August 31.
Osimhen and Napoli have agreed that he leaves the club this summer, but all the clubs linked to him have not put down a bid due to the €130m release clause attached to his contract. The Super Eagles player was reported to have agreed terms with Paris St Germain, but the French side cooled off their bid for the player. Chelsea was interested in a swap deal, but Osimhen, wanting Champions League football, was not keen.
Arsenal are hoping to offload Eddie Nketiah who is wanted by Nottingham Forest to be able to finance the deal for Osimhen.
