Napoli top striker Victor Osimhen has ruled out any move to the Saudi Arabia league as a €70m bid was presented by Al-Ahli to Napoli.
With a few days to the end of the summer transfer window, Osimhen is hopeful that a move to the Premier League will materialise with Chelsea, Arsenal and Paris St Germain he previously agreed personal terms, but the French Ligue 1 giants backed out at the last minute. Osimhen reportedly wants a 500,000 pounds a week pay, and this has cooled interest from Chelsea and Arsenal for now.
Osimhen’s agent Roberto Calenda, said in a statement Monday that the Super Eagles player’s status as a top striker should be respected.
“Osimhen is a Napoli player, with a contract recently renewed with mutual satisfaction,” the statement reads.
“He made history and when there were major offers (also this year) we always accepted the club’s decisions.
“As I said, he is not a package to be shipped far away to make room for new prophets.
“Victor was elected African footballer of the year, eighth at the Ballon d’Or, (and) he still has so much to do in Europe.
“There is need (for) respect and balance.”
