Nigeria’s famous music diva Onyeka Onwenu, has been laid to rest in Lagos as family, friends and colleagues pay their last respect.
The Elegant Stallion as she was fondly called was buried Friday at the Ebony Vaults, Ikoyi after a funeral service at the Fountain of Life Church in Ilupeju, Lagos.
Onyeka Onwenu slumped during a performance to honour the Managing Director of Emzor Pharmaceuticals, Dr Stella Okoli. She was later pronounced dead at the hospital. She was 72 years old.
Onyeka Onwenu is survived by Tijani Ogunlende and Ibrahim Ogunlende.
