Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo has made just two appearances for the team, but boss Enzo Maresca says the player who is eyeing an international career with the Super Eagles has been impressive in his conduct.
Adarabioyo a centre back joined the club from Fulham in the summer turning down a higher pay and also a transfer to Newcastle.
When asked about Adarabioyo’s standing with the team, Mareca who worked with him at Manchester City said: “I’m very impressed. I know Tosin since City, very impressed with him especially the way he behaves inside and outside the pitch.
“He is one of the leaders in the changing room, so we are very delighted and very happy with him.”
Meanwhile Super Eagles coach Austin Eguaveon said he was yet to have a direct talk with the player who is reported to be keen on playing for Nigeria, after he failed to make the Three Lions of England team to the 2024 European Championship.
