Thousands of Music fans were on unable to access on streaming platform Spotify on Sunday morning, due to technical hitches.
User error reports for Spotify began spiking around 10:45 ET a.m. on Sept. 29, according to uptime monitoring service Downdetector. The number of complaints reached more than 9,000 by 11 a.m. and over 15,000 as of 11:35 a.m., per Downdetector. In Spotify’s desktop app, some users were greeted with the error message, “Something went wrong,” and attempts to play songs and albums were unsuccessful. The streamer’s smartphone apps were unresponsive as well for many users.
The user reports on Downdetector spanned the U.S., with issues also reported by Spotify listeners in Canada and other countries. Variety
