Ademola Lookman scored and created an assist as his Italian club Atalanta beat Shakhtar Donetsk 3-0 in their Champions League clash Wednesday.
Playing away from home Atalanta were dominate over the Ukrainian side. Berat Djimsiti opened scoring in the 21st minute after he chested down and volleyed a cross from Lookman. The Super Eagles player increased the tally in the 44th minute to score his first Champions League goal.
Raoul Bellanova finished off the job in the 48th minute.
Lookman has become the second player in Atalanta’s history to score and assist in a Champions League game, with the first being Duván Zapata, Atalanta’s highest non-Italian goal scorer.
The former Colombia international is the highest-scoring foreigner in the history of Atalanta with 82 goals in 191 appearances.
Zapata scored and provided an assist in Champions League matches against FC Midtjylland (October 2020) and Manchester United (November 2021).
